ABOUT OUR TEAM
Grand County EMS is a Paramedic-level service made from a mix of part time/paid call and full-time employees of all certification levels. We run in crews of either two Advanced-level providers or one Advanced and one Basic level. We require a minimum of two main shifts and two backup shifts per month from all of our staff. The shifts are flexible and can easily fit around a normal work schedule. Extra shifts beyond your monthly minimums are signed up for individually on our scheduling website.
As an agency, we strive for a culture of mutual respect.We understand that EMS is, at times, a very stressful job, and we do our utmost to support our members, emotionally, mentally and physically. We provide gym services during shifts, continuing education, sleeping quarters and common area, uniforms, and many other perks. We also host several classes, including EMT, AEMT, ACLS, PALS, and PHTLS.
THE HIRING PROCESS
If you are a certified EMT or Paramedic, our hiring process begins much like other agencies. Interested persons first need to complete 3 department ride alongs, these ride alongs allow you to see the culture in our department and how we operate. Below are attachments for the paperwork required to complete this step. Once you have completed your ride alongs you can submit your application packet to email@example.com or call us at (435)259-1301. An interview time will be scheduled. After being hired, you will run with our teams as a third member while you are trained on our procedures and guidelines.
